The authors consider a system of \(N\)-particles which interact with their neighbors via alignment and repulsion. Each particle is described by its position, its velocity and its direction. After presenting the particle model, the mean field kinetic equation is introduced. Writing the problem in dimensionless variables leads to a system depending on a small parameter \(\varepsilon\). Then, a hydrodynamic model is derived by making \(\varepsilon \rightarrow 0\). In this way a ``Self-Organized Hydrodynamics with Repulsion''(SOHR) system is obtained. A numerical discretization of the SOHR model is performed for the two-dimensional case. Some numerical examples are given in order to validate the numerical scheme previously presented.
