A semi-Krull domain is an integral domain \(A\) which is the intersection of all local rings \(A_ P\) with \(\text{ht}(P)=1\), the intersection having a finite character and such that every non-zero ideal of \(A_ P\) contains a power of the maximal ideal \(PA_ P\), for every prime \(P\) with \(\text{ht}(P)=1\). Semi-Krull domains have been introduced by E. Matlis in 1987. A Mori domain is a domain \(A\) with the ascending chain condition (a.c.c.) on divisorial ideals. Mori domains have been studied by the authors previously. In this paper are pointed out some properties of semi-Krull domains and are proved some similitudes between Mori domains and semi-Krull domains. --- The first part contains ideal theoretical results in a semi-Krull domain. The main result is (theorem 1.7): In a semi-Krull domain \(A\) the set \(X^ 1(A)\) of height one prime ideals, the set of maximal \(t\)-ideals and the set \(D_ m(A)\) of maximal divisorial ideals coincide. Hence, like a Mori domain, a semi-Krull domain is the intersection, with a finite character, of its localisations at the maximal divisorial primes. Moreover, a semi-Krull domain satisfies the a.c.c. on principal ideals. Nevertheless, Mori domains and semi-Krull domains are not a class of rings included one in the other. The authors prove this by examples. As a general result, in the theorem (2.1) it is proved that a Mori domain \(A\) is a semi-Krull domain if and only if \(X^ 1(A)=D_ m(A)\). In section 3 are given some results on the complete integral closure of a semi-Krull domain. A completely integrally closed semi-Krull domain is a Krull domain, a similar result being true for Mori domains. Like in the case of Mori domains it is studied the complete integral closure \(A^*\) of a semi-Krull semi-normal domain \(A\). The main result is given in the theorem (3.12) which states: ``\(A^*\) is semi-Krull'', ``\(A^*\) is Mori'', ``\(A^*\) is Krull'', ``\(A\) is Mori'' are equivalent conditions. --- It is still an open question if a semi-normal semi-Krull domain is necessarily a Mori domain. The last section is devoted to the study of generalised quotient rings of semi-Krull domains.
