The author studies the Cauchy problem for a nonlinear system of the form \(u_ t = f(x,t,u,u_ x)\), \(u(x,0) = u_ 0(x)\) with \(C^ \infty\)- regular functions \(f\) and \(u_ 0\). She proves that the problem has always a unique solution in the class of Colombeau's generalized functions.
