Following his earlier work [Numer. Math. 54, 639-654 (1989; Zbl 0645.65027)], the author considers the computation of two-sided bounds for the eigenvalues of the one-dimensional Schrödinger operator with various potentials, using a finite element method with high-order B- splines. Some impressive numerical results are reported, although as usual the best accuracy is obtained for the lower eigenvalues.
