The authors have proved that the simple output feedback \(u(t) = N(K(t))y(t)\) with adaptation law: \(\dot K(t) = \| y(t)\|^ 2\), \(K(0) = K_ 0\), where \(N(K) = (\log K)^ \gamma \cos((\log K)^ \delta)\) and \(3\gamma + \delta < 1\), stabilizes all detectable and stabilizable infinite-dimensional systems of Pritchard-Salamon type which are externally stabilized by some scalar output feedback. They have also proved that the same controller is also stabilizing time varying systems satisfying the same type of output feedback stabilizability.
