If \(R\) is a \(G\)-graded ring and \(X\) is a left \(G\)-set, necessary and sufficient conditions are given such that the category of \(R\)-modules graded by \(X\), \((G,X,R)\text{-gr}\), is equivalent to a category of modules over a ring. It is shown that there are rings satisfying these conditions other than strongly graded rings or rings graded by finite groups.
