Interaction of elementary waves for compressible Euler equations with frictional damping (Q1975473): Difference between revisions

The compressible Euler equations with frictional damping arise from the one-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations under additional simplifying assumptions on the microstructure. The authors analyze a Riemann-type initial value problem and study the interaction of waves. Interesting asymptotic results can be derived from this analysis.
