Let \(Q\) be a loop, \(M(Q)\) its multiplication group, \(I(Q)\) the stabilizer of the neutral element. A. Vesanen, M. Niemenmaa, T. Kepka showed that: (i) the solvability of \(M(Q)\) implies the solvability of \(Q\) if \(Q\) is a finite loop; (ii) if \(I(Q)\) is a dihedral 2-group or Abelian, then \(M(Q)\) is solvable; (iii) a group \(G\) is isomorphic to \(M(Q)\) iff there exist a subgroup \(H\) satisfying \(L_G(H)=1\) and \(H\)-connected transversals \(A\) and \(B\), such that \(G=\langle A,B\rangle\). Now, the main result is the theorem: If a group \(G\) has a subgroup \(H\) of order \(2p\) (\(p\) is an odd prime) and if there exists a pair of \(H\)-connected transversals in \(G\), then \(G\) is solvable. As a consequence of this, the authors give a solvability criterion for finite loops.
