Brauer tree algebras over an algebraically closed field \(k\) are algebras associated to some graph together with some extra structure. These algebras admit only a finite number of indecomposable modules up to isomorphism. Blocks of group rings of finite groups with cyclic defect group are Brauer tree algebras. The finite number of indecomposable modules were parametrized by Janusz and Kupisch by means of certain multi-pushout diagrams. On the other hand, one may construct the Auslander-Reiten quiver to this algebra. The stable Auslander-Reiten quiver is an oriented graph whose vertices are isomorphism classes of indecomposable non projective modules. So, for Brauer tree algebras the Auslander-Reiten quiver is a finite graph. The main theme of the paper under review is to pass explicitly between the two descriptions. The authors use some combinatorial method similar to, but different from, the well known `walk around the Brauer tree' to pass from one description to the other.
