Two basic potential theoretic problems in Riemannian manifolds are considered, comprising Hodge decompositions, and Maxwell's equations. The issues considered are the necessary smoothness and integrability assumptions. It is shown that in the context of \(L^p\) forms in Lipschitz domains both types of problem are well posed, provided \(2-\varepsilon<p <2+\varepsilon\) for some \(\varepsilon >0\). A constructive approach is used that emphasizes the close connection between the two problems. Some applications are made to related partial differential equations, like boundary problems for the Hodge Dirac operator.
