Let \(\mathbb{C} \mathbb{P}^2\) be the complex projective plane endowed with the Fubini-Study metric of constant holomorphic sectional curvature 4. A Lagrangian immersed surface \(f: M\to\mathbb{C} \mathbb{P}^2\) is said to be Hamiltonian stationary Lagrangian (HSL) if it is a critical point of the area functional under smooth compactly supported Hamiltonian variations. In this paper, the author proves Theorem 1. Every HSL surface in \(\mathbb{C} \mathbb{P}^2\) has a one-parameter family of deformations preserving the induced metric. Theorem 2. Let \(F(z,\overline z,\lambda)\), \(\lambda\in S'\), be a solution of the systems \(F= FU(\lambda)\), \(F+{\overline z}= FV(\lambda)\), where \(U(\lambda)\) and \(V(\lambda)\) are given. Then the third column of \(F\), \([F(e_3)]\), gives a HSL surface in \(\mathbb{C} \mathbb{P}^2\) with metric \(g= 2e^udz\,d\overline z\), nonzero one-form \(\Phi^v= v\Phi\) and and Hopf differential \(\Psi^v= v\Psi\). Conversely, suppose that \(f^\lambda: M\to\mathbb{C} \mathbb{P}^2\) is a conformal parameterization of a HSL surface in \(\mathbb{C} \mathbb{P}^2\) with the metric \(g= 2e^udz\,d\overline z\) and nonzero one-form \(\Phi^v= v\Phi\) and Hopf differential \(\Phi^v= v\Phi\). Then there exists a unique frame \(F^\lambda: M\to SU(3)\) satisfying above \(U(\lambda)\) and \(V(\lambda)\) up to a multiplication by an element of the center of SU(3). Theorem 3. There exists a natural correspondence between HSL surfaces \(f: M\to\mathbb{C} \mathbb{P}^2\) with \(\phi=\text{constant}\neq 0\) and the real normalized admissible connection on \(M\), where \(\phi= e^{-u}F_{z\overline z}\overline F_{\overline z}\). Theorem 4. Every HSL torus in \(\mathbb{C} \mathbb{P}^2\) is of finite type.
