Let \(k\) be a field and \(n\geq 0\). One has a category \(\text{Pol}(n)\) of polynomial representations of the general linear group \(\text{GL}_n\) over \(k\). The authors look for the indecomposable injectives in this category that are at the same time projective. Let \(I(\lambda)\) denote the injective whose socle has highest weight \(\lambda\). If \(I(\lambda)\) is also projective in \(\text{Pol}(n)\), then it is in fact a tilting module \(T(\mu)\) with highest weight \(\mu\). The question to be studied is now what the set of possible \(\lambda\)'s is, what the set of possible \(\mu\)'s is, and what the map is that associates \(\mu\) to \(\lambda\). (A generalized Mullineux map.) The authors show that it suffices to study the analogous problem over a quantum group over a field of characteristic zero with parameter a root of unity. Complete answers are obtained for \(n=2\) and \(n=3\). For general \(n\) there is a conjectural answer.
