In order to find another balanced controller reduction algorithm, the BCRA-method balancing the observability of the states of the controller (\^x) in the control (u) and the controllability of the controller is combined with the BRRA-method balancing the control and filter Riccati solutions. The new method therefore attempts to delete those states of the controller which least change the control (u) and which least contribute to the covariance of the estimation error. For the example considered this new method compared favorably with the other balancing methods.
