Scattering Hurwitz polynomials are of interest in connection with the scattering matrix description of multivariate lossless two-ports. Some important properties of these polynomials are summarized in the paper. Bivariate polynomials with real coefficients are then considered. Each coefficient is allowed to vary within a closed interval. As main result a criterion is derived to test for scattering Hurwitz property of a set of interval polynomials. In the bivariate case eight extreme polynomials are required to be tested. A generalization to multivariate interval polynomials is expected to be possible. The results derived in the paper are useful for investigation of multivariate interval polynomial stability and robustness properties of multidimensional reference networks.
