Let \(\sigma\) be an automorphism of the commutative Noetherian ring R, and let \(S=R[x;\sigma]\) be the corresponding skew polynomial ring. The prime ideals of S have been classified [\textit{R. S. Irving}, J. Algebra 56, 315- 342 (1979; Zbl 0399.16015)]. In this paper the links \(P\to Q\) between pairs of prime ideals, P and Q, of S are described. (Such a link exists, by definiton, if the bimodule \(P\cap Q/PQ\) has left annihilator P and right annihilator Q. The nature of these links determines much of the localization behaviour and representation theory of S; see, for example [\textit{A. V. Jategaonkar}, Localization in Noetherian rings, Lond. Math. Soc. Lect. Note Ser. 98 (1986; Zbl 0589.16014)].) | |||
