Pursuit-evasion stochastic differential games where both players are moving in the vertical plane, and the pursuer is in its coasting phase (that is the part of P's flight that begins at the ending of P's thrust action) are considered. Two problems have been considered. The first problem is how to approximate the functions which appear in the equation which defines the speed \(\bar v_ p\) of the pursuer, by approximate constants. The second problem is the computation of optimal initial conditions for the pursuer at the beginning of the coasting phase. Results demonstrate the applicability of stochastic differential game techniques in these problems.
