Submanifolds in differentiable manifolds endowed with differential- geometric structures. V: CR-submanifolds in a manifold of almost-complex structure (Q2640161): Difference between revisions

[For part IV, see ibid. 29, 1592-1616 (1985); translation from Itogi Nauki Tekh., Ser. Probl. Geom. 15, 127-164 (1983; Zbl 0581.53023).] The present paper is a survey on CR-submanifolds in almost Hermitian manifolds. The notion of a CR-submanifold in a Kaehler manifold was introduced and studied for the first time by \textit{A. Bejancu} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 69, 135-142 (1978; Zbl 0368.53040)]. The reason of using this name comes from complex analysis. \textit{D. E. Blair} and \textit{B.-Y. Chen} proved [Isr. J. Math. 34, 353-363 (1979; Zbl 0453.53018)] that any CR- submanifold of a Hermitian manifold is a CR-manifold. A list of authors who dealt with this theory is given. At the end of this paper, the CR- submanifolds are generalized to the case of almost complex manifolds without metric.
