Let \(p\in {\mathbb{R}}\), p/q\(\not\in {\mathbb{N}}\cup \{0\}\), and assume that the function \(g(a)=\int_{\ell_ q}\| x-a\|^ pd\mu (x)\) is well- defined from \(\ell_ q\) to \({\mathbb{R}}\), where \(\mu\) is an unknown finite Borel measure on the space \(\ell_ q\) with \(1<q<2\). The following formula is obtained for calculating \(\mu\) out of g: For every \(\xi \in \ell^*_ q\) with \(\xi_ i\neq 0\), \(i\in {\mathbb{N}}\), we have \({\hat \mu}(\xi)=\lim_{n\to \infty}(\hat g_ n(\xi^{(n)})/\| x^{(n)}\|^ p(\xi^{(n)})),\) where \(g_ n\), \(\| x^{(n)}\|^ p\) and \(\xi^{(n)}\) are the restrictions of the functions g, \(\| x\|^ p\) and \(\xi\) to the subspace of \(\ell_ q\) generated by the first n coordinates.
