Convergence of a class of discrete cubic interpolatory splines (Q805951): Difference between revisions

The existence, uniqueness and discrete error bounds for discrete cubic interpolatory splines with not necessarily equi-spaced nodes are studied. The results extend some earlier contributions to \textit{T. Lyche} [BIT Nordisk. Tidskr. Inform.-behandl. 16, 281-290 (1976; Zbl 0346.65002)], \textit{H. P. Dikshit} and \textit{P. Powar} [Numer. Math. 40, 71-78 (1982; Zbl 0479.65009)] and \textit{A. Chatterjee} and \textit{H. P. Dikshit} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 82, 411-416 (1981; Zbl 0431.41011)].
