The authors offer the general complex valued solutions of the functional equation \(f(x+y+xy)=g(x)+h(y)+g(x)h(y)\) on the space of Laurent Schwartz distributions over \(]-1,\infty[\) and, as corollary, the general locally integrable complex valued solutions on \(]-1,\infty[.\) As the authors note, the equation can easily be transformed into \(F(x+y)=G(x)H(y).\)
