This is a continuation of \textit{G. Di Maio, Ljubisa D. R. Kocinac}, and \textit{E. Meccariello} [Acta Math. Sin., Engl. Ser. 22, No.~4, 1151--1160 (2006; Zbl 1111.54023)] consisting of 6 parts. 1. Around \(S_1({\mathcal K},{\mathcal K})\); 2. \(S_1({\mathcal K},\Gamma)\); 3. \(S_1({\mathcal K},\Gamma_k)\); 4. \(S_1(\Gamma_k,{\mathcal K})\); 5. Other classes; 6. \(k\)-covers and metric spaces. Here, \({\mathcal K}\) denotes the family of \(k\)-covers, \(\Gamma\) denotes the family of \(\gamma\)-covers and \(\Gamma_k\) is the family of \(\gamma_k\)-covers. Let \({\mathcal A}\) and \({\mathcal B}\) be sets whose elements are collections of subsets of an infinite set \(X\). Then \(S_1({\mathcal A},{\mathcal B})\) denotes the selection principle: For each sequence \((A_n: n\in\mathbb{N})\) of elements of \({\mathcal A}\) there is a sequence \((b_n: n\in\mathbb{N})\) such that for each \(n\), \(b_n\in A_n\) and \(\{b_n: n\in\mathbb{N}\}\) is an element of \({\mathcal B}\). The authors study applications of \(k\)-covers to some topological constructions, mostly to function spaces and hyperspaces, obtaining numerous results, some of which are stated below. Theorem 7. If a Hausdorff space \(X\) satisfies \(S_1({\mathcal K},{\mathcal K})\), then the space \((\mathbb{K}(X), F^+)\) satisfies \(S_1({\mathcal O},{\mathcal O})\), where \(\mathbb{K}(X)\) is the set of all compact subsets of \(X\) and \(F^+\) denotes the upper Fell topology on \(\mathbb{K}(X)\). For a Tychonoff space \(X\), \(C(X)\) is the set of all continuous real-valued functions on \(X\) and \(\underline 0\) denotes the zero function in \(C(X)\). Theorem 15. For a Tychonoff space \(X\) the following are equivalent: (1) \(X\) satisfies \(S_1({\mathcal K},\Gamma)\); (2) \(C(X)\) satisfies \(S_1(\Omega^k_{\underline 0},\Sigma^p_{\underline 0})\). \(\Omega^k_{\underline 0}= \{A\subset C(X):\underline 0\in A\setminus A\}\), where \(\overline A\) denotes the closure of \(A\) in \(C_k(X)\) with the compact-open topology, and \(\Gamma^p_{\underline 0}\) denotes the family of non-trivial sequences converging to \(\underline 0\) in the space \(C_p(X)\) with the topology of pointwise convergence. Theorem 19. For a Hausdorff space \(X\) the following are equivalent: (1) For each sequence \(({\mathcal D}_n: n\in\mathbb{N})\) of dense subsets of \((2^X, F^+)\) there is a sequence \((D_n: n\in\mathbb{N})\) such that for each \(D_n\in{\mathcal D}_n\), and \(\{D_n: n\in\mathbb{N}\}\) is sequentially dense; (2) \(X\) satisfies \(S_1({\mathcal K},\Gamma_k)\). Theorem 23. For each Hausdorff space \(X\) the following are equivalent: (1) For each \(E\in 2^X\), \((2^X, F^+)\) satisfies \(S_1(\Sigma_E,\Omega_E)\); (2) Each open set \(Y\subset X\) is an \(S_1(\Gamma_k,{\mathcal K})\)-set.
