Some years ago, C. Alsina, M. J. Frank and B. Schweizer presented a list of open problems concerning t-norms. The present paper gives some interesting results concerning the study of convex combinations of t-norm. The authors show, e.g., that, given \(\lambda \) in (0,1), the operation \(T_{\lambda} =(1- \lambda) Z + \lambda T\), where \(T\) is a continuous t-norm and \(Z(x,y) =0\) whenever Max \((x,y)<1\) and \(Z=\)Min otherwise, cannot be a t-norm when \(T\) is nilpotent but \( T_{\lambda}\) is a t-norm whenever \(T\) is strict and has an additive generator satisfying the functional equation in one variable \( f(\lambda z) = f(x) + f(\lambda) \) for all \(x\) in [0,1]. The authors study also convex combinations of Min and ordinal sums of continuous Archimedean t-norms as well as combinations of left-continuous t-norms.
