Let \({\mathcal K}\) be a class of partial algebras, \(S({\mathcal K})\), \(In({\mathcal K})\), \(P({\mathcal K})\), \(H_c ({\mathcal K})\) be the classes of all algebras isomorphic to subalgebras, initial segments, products and closed homomorphic images of algebras from \({\mathcal K}\), respectively, and \(E({\mathcal K})\) be the specific extension of \({\mathcal K}\) (preserves all strong equations). It is proved that a class \({\mathcal K}\) can be defined by a set of strong equations iff \({\mathcal K} = H_c EInSP({\mathcal K})\).
