An infinite doubly stochastic matrix is locally finite if there are finite number of positive entries in each column and each row. The author studies infinite locally finite doubly stochastic matrices and proves that infinite locally finite doubly stochastic matrices are \(\mathcal F\)-limits of finite doubly stochastic matrices and vice versa. Some properties of infinite locally finite doubly stochastic matrices are studied.
