The authors characterize \(n\)-dimensional vector fields in \({\mathbb R}^n\) (with and without linear parts) which are either conjugate or orbit equivalent to their quasi-homogeneous parts of minimal degree. The paper closes by giving several explicit examples of nilpotent and degenerate vector fields.
