The following 2D NS-\(\alpha\) model with time-dependent external force term is considered \[ \begin{aligned} &\partial_t(u-\alpha^2 \Delta u)-\nu\Delta (u-\alpha^2 \Delta u) -u \times \text{rot}(u-\alpha^2 \Delta u)+\nabla p=f(x,t),\\ &\text{div}\;u=0, \qquad u|_{t=\tau}=u_{\tau}, \end{aligned}\tag{1} \] where \(u=(u_1,u_2)\) and \(p\) the unknown, \(u(x,t)\) is the velocity of the particle at \(x\) at time \(t\), and \(p(x,t)\) is the pressure at \(x\) at time \(t\), \(\nu >o\) is the kinematic viscosity coefficient. The spatial variable \(x\) belongs to the 2D torus \(T^2=[0,2\pi L]^2\) and \(\alpha^2=\gamma^2L^2\) is a parameter. At the usage of the suggested in [\textit{S. Lu, H. Wu} and \textit{C. Zhong}, Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. 13, No.~3, 701--719 (2005; Zbl 1083.35094)] approach the authors prove that, under the assumption of normal external force term, 2D NS-\(\alpha\) model has uniform attractors. Further the relationship is studied between the long-time dynamics of the 2D NS-\(\alpha\) model and 2D NS-\(\alpha\) system as \(\alpha\to 0^+.\) However, along with enlarging a class of forcing term, the study of convergence of 2D NS-\(\alpha\) model is especially important in the perturbation theory. Therefore the main purpose here is to prove the following main result: the uniform attractors \(\mathcal{A}^{\alpha}_{\Sigma}\) of the 2D NS-\(\alpha\) model convergence (in the specified sense) as \(\alpha\to 0^+\) to the uniform attractors \(\mathcal{A}_{\Sigma}\) of the 2D NS equation with space-periodic boundary conditions.
