In this paper the author shows that the Lenstra constant is equal to the Legendre constant whenever the Lenstra constant exists. The classical results says that \(1/2\) is the Legendre constant of the regular continued fractions because of the fact that if \(|x-p/q|<1/2q^2\) for relatively prime integers \(p\) and \(q(>0)\) then \(p/q\) is a principal convergent to \(x\), while for any \(c>1/2\) there exist \(x\) and \(p/q\) which is not a principal convergent, such that \(|x-p/q|<c/q^2\). \(1/2\) is the Lenstra constant of the regular continued fractions because of the result by \textit{W. Bosma, H. Jager} and \textit{F. Wiedijk} [Nederl. Akad. Wetensch./ Indag. Math. 45, No. 3, 281--299 (1983; Zbl 0519.10043)]. For a.e. \(x\), \(\lim_{n\to\infty}(1/n)\sum_{j=1}^\infty\{1\leq j\leq n: q_j^2|x-p_j/q_j|\leq t\}\) exists for any \(t\in[0,1]\), and is equal to \(F(t):=t/\ln 2\) if \(t\in[0,1/2]\); \(F(t):=(1-t+\ln 2t)/\ln 2\) if \(t\in[1/2,1]\). Two constants are equal for the Rosen continued fraction and the \(\alpha\)-continued fractions. The explicit value of the entropy of the Rosen map with respect to the absolutely continuous invariant probability measure is also given.
