The authors give a characterization of Hajłasz-Sobolev and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces via grand Littlewood-Paley functions on Euclidean spaces and also on metric spaces that are both doubling and reverse doubling. Theorem 1.1 and 1.2 are their main results. In the proof of main theorem, they make use of Calderón's reproducing formula and connect their previous work with Hajłasz's work.
