The authors introduce a concept of wave-corpuscle to study the classical dynamics of charged particles in external electromagnetic fields. They show that the ideal wave-corpuscle is an exact solution to the Euler-Lagrange equations for free and for accelerated motions, and that it contains properties of both a point charge and de Broglie wave. This approach is also applicable to a system of separated charges moving with nonrelativistic velocities. The nonlinearities do not show explicitly yet that their presence is responsible for binding forces and the whole theory may be applied to the hydrogen atom.
