Summary: We investigate the local stability, prime period-two solutions, boundedness, invariant intervals, and global attractivity of all positive solutions of the following difference equation: \[ y_{n+1}=(r+py_n+y_{n-k})/(qy_n+y_{n-k}),\quad n\in\mathbb N_0, \] where the parameters \(p,q,r\in (0,\infty)\), \(k\in\{1,2,3,\dots\}\) and the initial conditions \(y_{-k},\dots,y_0\in (0,\infty)\). We show that the unique positive equilibrium of this equation is a global attractor under certain conditions.
