In two previous papers [``Towards a `sophisticated' model of belief dynamics. I, II'', Stud. Log. 89, No.~1, 81--109 (2008; Zbl 1148.03007), ibid. 89, No.~3, 291--323 (2008; Zbl 1166.03007)], the author articulated a framework for modeling an agent's awareness of propositions, and recast current of belief revision theory in that context. In the paper under review he models changes of awareness in its pure form, i.e. without accompanying revision of beliefs, and develops a logic for such changes when considered from the point of view of an external observer (rather than from that of the agent itself) in the manner of dynamic epistemic logic. An appendix presents the same in AGM style.
