\textit{H. R. Morton} constructed an infinite sequence of nonequivalent fibred knots in \(S^3\) with the same Alexander polynomial for each possible polynomial of degree greater than two [Noeuds, tresses et singularités, C. R. Sémin., Plans-sur-Bex 1982, Monogr. Enseign. Math. 31, 205--222 (1983; Zbl 0547.57003)]. In this paper, the author realizes a given Alexander polynomial by hyperbolic arborescent knots and links with several properties. For example, he proves the following theorems: Theorem. Given an Alexander polynomial \(\Delta\) with \(d=\max\deg \Delta\) and an integer \(g_s\geq \max(1, 4d-1)\), there exist hyperbolic arborescent knots of arbitrarily large volume with Alexander polynomial \(\Delta\) and slice genus \(g_s\). Theorem. Let \(\Delta\) be an admissible Alexander polynomial of degree \(d\geq 2\). Then there exist hyperbolic knots \(K_n\) of arbitrarily large volume with free genus \(g_f(K_n)=d\) and \(\Delta(K_n)=\Delta\). The latter theorem is an extension of a theorem of \textit{M. Brittenham} [Pac. J. Math. 201, No.~1, 61--82 (2001; Zbl 1049.57003)]. See Table 1 in Page 175 of this paper for the summary of the results on realizing a given Alexander polynomial.
