The Mahler measure of a single-variable polynomial is the product of the norms of its complex roots greater than 1 times the norm of the lead coefficient. The definition can be generalized to multivariable and Laurent polynomials, and thus can be computed for the Alexander, Jones and Homflypt polynomials to obtain invariants of links. In this paper, the authors show boundedness of the Mahler measures of the Alexander polynomials of collections of oriented links with alternating diagrams and the Jones and Homflypt polynomials of collections of oriented links is bounded whose twist numbers are bounded. Examples of families of link diagrams illustrating the results are given, including a counterexample showing that the converse of the main theorem is false.
