The authors study connections between topological entropies of a process and its discretization with the aim to formalize the definition of chaos in terms of topological entropy for dynamics of processes described by nonautonomous differential equations. It is shown that entropy of the process can be estimated from above or below in terms of Poincaré sections. The extension of the idea of semiconjugacy to nonautonomous setting is given with concrete examples of applications.
