During the last decade, the author and his collaborators are developing the theory of \((T,V)\)-categories where \(T\) is a monad on the category of sets and \(V\) is a quantale. Examples include metric spaces, ordered sets, topological spaces, or approach spaces. \((T,V)\)-categories were later refined to \((T,V,\xi)\)-categories where \(\xi:TV\to V\) is compatible with the monad and the quantale structure. The triple \(\mathcal T=(T,V,\xi)\) is called a topological theory. The present paper is motivated by enriched category theory and develops concepts like weighted colimits, Kan extensions and adjoint functors for \(\mathcal T\)-categories.
