The development of non-smooth dynamical systems has been fast-paced in the last decade due to numerous applications in physics and engineering. This is an interesting and systematic study of local and global bifurcations in planar non-smooth dynamical systems from a mathematical point of view. The authors focus on so-called Filippov systems, which are given by ordinary differential equations, the right-hand sides of which are discontinuous along a hypersurface in the phase space. They concentrate on generic codimension-two bifurcations occurring in generical two-parameter families, which can frequently be observed in models. The studies include a comparison of two different bifurcation notions that are induced by two different notions of structural stability, given by the classical concept and the so-called \(\Sigma\)-equivalence.
