The author investigates 2Dand 3D non-steady boundary layer equations of fluid dynamics by methods of group analysis of differential equations [\textit{N. H. Ibragimov} (ed.), CRC handbook of Lie group analysis of differential equations. Vol. 2: Applications in engineering and physical sciences. Boca Raton, FL: CRC Press (1995; Zbl 0864.35002); \textit{L. V. Ovsyannikov}, Group analysis of differential equations (Russian). Moskva: ``Nauka'' (1978; Zbl 0484.58001); English translation: New York etc.: Academic Press (1982; Zbl 0485.58002)] by means of ansaetze (various schemes with multiple parameter functions) with subsequent use of symmetry transformations. In particular, the technique of moving frame is applied in the 3D case in order to capture the rotational properties of the fluid. This way, new explicit exact solutions and a family of solutions in the 3D case are obtained.
