The main results of the article address the accuracy of Hermite interpolation by polynomials in one or two dimensions. Both standard (continuous) Hermite data are used as well as discrete Hermite data which are produced by divided differences. Theorem~3.2 is the principal result which gives an error estimate in the Chebyshev norm with concrete constants. Examples are given to illustrate the main theorems.
