The authors obtain three classes of summation formulae by employing a duplicate form of Carlitz inversions to three special cases of the \(q\)-Saalschütz theorem. The results investigated here include a number of \(q\)-identities involving Bailey-Daum type, peculiar type and basic hypergeometric type series.
