Let \(G\) be a finite group, and let \(\mathfrak F\) be a class of groups. The present paper considers the intersection of all maximal \(\mathfrak F\)-subgroups of \(G\), that is, the subgroups which are maximal with respect to being an \(\mathfrak F\)-group. The author proves some interesting results analysing the influence of this subgroup on the structure of \(G\). He mainly considers saturated formations and exploits some nice properties of this subgroup which are proved in Theorem A of the paper. The reader can also consult a closely related paper written by \textit{J. C. Beidleman} and \textit{H. Heineken} [J. Algebra 333, No. 1, 120-127 (2011; Zbl 1269.20012)].
