A \textit{strong geometry} is a pair \((M,c)\) where \(M\) is a manifold and \(c\) is a closed three-form on \(M\). A symmetry group of \((M,c)\) is a Lie group \(G\) which preserves \(c\). Let \(\mathfrak{g}\) denote the Lie algebra of \(G\), then the \textit{Lie kernel} \(\mathcal{P}_{\mathfrak{g}}\) of \(\mathfrak{g}\) is the \(\mathfrak{g}\)-module identified by \(\text{ker}(L:\bigwedge^2\mathfrak{g} \rightarrow \mathfrak{g})\) where \(L\) is the linear map induced by the Lie bracket. The authors introduce a \textit{multi-moment map} by an equivariant map \(\nu:M \rightarrow \mathcal{P}_{\mathfrak{g}}^*\) satisfying \(d\langle \nu, \mathbf{p} \rangle = i_P c\) for each \(\mathbf{p} \in \mathcal{P}_{\mathfrak{g}}\) where \(P\) is the bi-vector field generated by \(\mathbf{p}\). They give several topological and algebraic criteria for the existence and uniqueness of multi-moment maps. They develop an algebraic theory of a special class of Lie algebras which play an important role in multi-moment maps, called \((2,3)\)-\textit{trivial Lie algebras}. Homogeneous strong geometries and their link to nearly Kähler and hypercomplex geometry are also studied. A special emphasis is given to torsion-free \(G_2\)-manifolds with an isometric action of a two-torus. It is shown how multi-moment maps lead to a description of such metrics via tri-symplectic geometry of four-manifolds. Several examples are given to illustrate the theory such as the total space \(\bigwedge^2 T^*N\) of the second exterior power of the cotangent bundle of a manifold \(N\), strong geometries obtained from symplectic manifolds, etc.
