This paper is mainly concerned with the following quasi-periodically forced nonlinear wave equation \[ u_{tt}-u_{xx}+\phi(t,\varepsilon)u^3=0 \] with periodic boundary condition \[ u(t,x)=u(t,x+2\pi), \] where \(\varepsilon\) is a small parameter and \(\phi(t,\varepsilon)\) is a real analytic quasi-periodic function in \(t\) with frequency vector \(\omega=(\omega_1,\ldots,\omega_m)\). By using KAM theory, the author proves the existence of small amplitude quasi-periodic solutions for the above problem.
