The author constructs an integrable lattice soliton hierarchy with a Hamiltonian structure from a discrete matrix spectral problem, and discusses some related properties of the soliton hierarchy. The Hamiltonian structure and Liouville integrability of the resulting soliton hierarchy are obtained by applying the discrete trace identity. A kind of integrable couplings of the soliton hierarchy is presented through enlarging the original spectral problem, but their Hamiltonian structures are not discussed. For the first nonlinear lattice system in the hierarchy, a Darboux transformation (DT) with two parameters, infinitely many conservation laws and some explicit solutions by the DT are constructed, based on its Lax pair. This article provides a good addition to lattice soliton hierarchies.
