The author characterizes Bynum's coefficients and the Opial modulus in terms of nets and proves that the set of fixed points of an asymptotically regular mapping acting on a convex and weakly compact subset of a Banach space is, in some cases, a Hölder continuous retract of its domain. This result qualitatively complements the results of \textit{J. Górnicki} [Topol. Methods Nonlinear Anal. 34, No. 2, 383--389 (2009; Zbl 1207.47058); Taiwanese J. Math. 15, No. 3, 1007--1020 (2011; Zbl 1278.47052)].
