In this paper, the authors study properties of the \(\epsilon\)-pseudospectrum and the \(\epsilon\)-condition spectrum on complex unital Banach algebras as well as linear preserver problems in relation with these two concepts. Let \(A\) and \(B\) be two complex unital Banach algebras. They show that any surjective \(\epsilon\)-pseudospectrum preserving linear map \(\psi\) from \(A\) onto \(B\) preserves the spectrum. In the case when \(A\) and \(B\) are uniform algebras, then \(\psi\) is an isometric isomorphism. On the other hand, they show that for \(0< \epsilon< 1\), each \(\epsilon\)-condition spectrum preserving map \(\psi\) between uniform algebras is \(\epsilon'\)-almost multiplicative, where \(\epsilon, \epsilon'\) tend to zero simultaneously. In the last section, the authors consider an algebraic \(\epsilon\)-perturbation on a Banach algebra and show various results related to the spectrum, the pseudospectrum and the condition spectrum in a complex Banach algebra and its \(\epsilon\)-perturbation.
