Let \(A\) and \(B\) be commutative locally convex algebras with unit and assume that the topology of \(A\) is determined by a family \((p_i)_{i\in I}\) of uniform seminorms (i.e., \(p_i(a^2)=p_i(a)^2\) for all \(a\in A\) and \(i\in I\)). Let \(\Phi: A\rightarrow B\) be an injective homomorphism. The author studies the continuity of the homomorphism \(\Phi_{| \Phi(A)}^{-1}\).
