Given an arbitrary bounded domain \(\Omega\subset \mathbb R^n\), let \(L\) be a non-negative self-adjoint extension of the Laplace operator \(-\Delta\) in \(L_2(\Omega)\). The author studies the problem of generalized localization for the Riesz means of spectral expansions of \(L\) for distributions belonging to the Sobolev space \(H^{-l}\) with \(l>0\).
