The goal of this paper is to study the simple random walk on large random planar maps and especially on the uniform infinite planar quadrangulation (UJPQ). The authors main result is that, up to polylogarithmic factors, \(n^3\) pioneer points have been discovered before the walk exists the ball of radius \(n\) into UJPQ. The final sections comments in particular about the relation concerning points of simple random walk and open questions.
