The authors extend results from [\textit{E. Albrecht} and \textit{T. L. Miller}, ``Spectral properties of two classes of averaging operators on the little Bloch space and the analytic Besov spaces'', Complex Anal. Oper. Theory 8, 129--157 (2014; \url{doi:10.1007/s11785-012-0279-x})] on the spectral analysis of Cesàro-type operators on analytic Besov spaces to generalized Bloch spaces. Their principal tool is a method that allows to extend a Banach space \(X\) of analytic functions on \(\mathbb D\) to a larger space \(Y\) so that the norms of certain multiplication and composition operators on \(X\) remain invariant.
