The support measures of a convex body in Euclidean space \({\mathbb R}^n\) are Borel measures on the unit sphere bundle of \({\mathbb R}^n\) with the property that their marginal measures are the curvature measures on \({\mathbb R}^n\) and the area measures on the unit sphere \({\mathbb S}^{n-1}\). Let \({\mathcal K}^n\) be the space of convex bodies (nonempty compact convex subsets) in \({\mathbb R}^n\), as usual equipped with the Hausdorff metric \(d_H\). For \(\rho>0\), denote by \(K_{\rho}=K+\rho\, B^n\) the parallel body of convex body \(K\) at distance \(\rho\), where \(B^n\) is the unit ball in \({\mathbb R}^n\). The Hausdorff distance of two convex bodies \(K, L\in {\mathcal K}^n\) is given by \(d_H(K, L) = \min\{\rho\geq0: K\subset L_{\rho}, L\subset K_{\rho}\}\). Let \(\Lambda_i(K, \cdot)\) denote the \(i\)th support measure of \(K\in {\mathcal K}^n\) (\(i=0,1,\dots, n-1\)) see [\textit{R. Schneider}, Convex bodies: the Brunn-Minkowski theory. 2nd expanded ed. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press (2014; Zbl 1287.52001)]. On the space of convex bodies with the Hausdorff metric, the support measures \(\Lambda_i(K< \cdot)\) are weakly continuous. In the present paper, the authors improve this statement by showing that the support measures are locally Hölder continuous with respect to the bounded Lipschitz metric \(d_{bL}\), see [\textit{R. M. Dudley}, Real analysis and probability. Repr. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press (2002; Zbl 1023.60001)]. { Theorem.} Let \(K, L\in{\mathcal K}^n\) be convex bodies, and let \(R\) be the radius of a ball containing \(K_2\) and \(L_2\). Then \(d_{bL}(\Lambda_i(K, \cdot), \Lambda_i(K, \cdot))\leq C(R)\, d_H(K, L)^{1/2}\) for \(i\in\{0,\dots, n-1\}\), where \(C(R)\) is a constant which (for given dimension) dependes only on \(R\). This theorem is proved by adapting an approach due to [\textit{F. Chazal} et al., Found. Comput. Math. 10, No. 2, 221--240 (2010; Zbl 1196.52006)]. In Section 4 the authors show that the Hölder exponent \(1/2\) in the theorem is best possible.
